information as you work through each question. Be sure to save your screenshots to Google Drive or to a file that is backed up by Code42 so you will be able to access them on your new computer!

Let’s get started!

Do you use any custom, unique, or departmental applications that are not enterprise-licensed?

For example, Microsoft Office has an enterprise license but Titanium does not. Click on the appropriate link to view your apps and take one or more screenshots to assist in the setup of your new computer.

Do you utilize a departmental printer?

Click on the appropriate link to view your shared drives. Note the specific drive (as opposed to a letter) and the drive’s path. Take one or more screenshots to assist in the setup of your new computer.

Is Code42 (CrashPlan) backing up your data?

Code42 should be installed on your computer and you can verify this by locating the Code42 icon in your system tray (Windows – bottom right) or menu bar (Mac – top right).
Click on the icon and log in using your wfu.edu Google account. You can then verify that the backup of your computer is successful.

Do you have personal files/folders that are not part of your Code42 backup?

Files not included in your Code42 backup include files stored in a folder within the Documents directory called personal_data or files/folders folders stored on the root of the hard drive (C:) or Macintosh HD.) Make a note or take a screenshot of any personal files or folders and back up these files using a system or storage drive of your choice that you’ll be able to access with your new computer.

Do you have browser settings and bookmarks that you’d like to keep?

If you have browser settings and bookmarks that you’d like to have on your new computer, visit Keep your browser settings and take screenshots of your settings.

Do the ports on your new computer support your current docking station or other peripherals?

Look at your current device and note what is plugged into it. Now click on your new device link below to see what you’ll be able to plug into your new device (without an adaptor).

Be sure to bring your current laptop and charging cable to your exchange!
