Wake Forest University faculty and staff have access to thousands of professional development resources through WorkDay Learning, which replaced the Professional Development Center (PDC) website in 2022. Workshops offered by your colleagues in IS and around campus are still available as we close out the fall semester. Spring workshop registration is now open.
WFU’s LinkedIn Learning platform provides an additional source of skill building resources for students, faculty and staff. Popular topics include Microsoft Office tips, Diversity and Inclusion resources, Accessibility and Allyship resources, Management strategies and Time Management techniques.Through our Canvas integration, faculty may also wish to include LinkedIn Learning resources and videos within their courses.
This summer, Sarah Wojcik-Gross returned full time to her training roots as the Assistant Director of Client Services for Technology Learning and Outreach. Sarah is addressing a large need on campus for intuitive training resources. She comes to this role with extensive experience in technology training and client experience.
Working alongside Sarah is Tracy Mills-Howell, Learning Specialist III in Information Systems. Tracy has played a foundational role in the Workday, Workday Learning, and Workday Student project rollout and end user training strategy. Tracy will continue creating educational videos and curriculum.
Sarah and Tracy are passionate about education access. “Through Workday Learning, we can find and enroll in endless amounts of technical and soft skills courses, dozens of which are offered by learning and development professionals right here at Wake, and thousands that are offered via LinkedIn Learning!” says Wojcik-Gross.
