Apple macOS High Sierra Release – Do Not Download

Information Systems strongly suggests that you do not upgrade your Wake Forest allocated computer to macOS High Sierra at this time.

Information Systems staff will be testing this new operating system to determine if it meets our compatibility and performance requirements. We will communicate additional macOS High Sierra upgrade information as it becomes available. We would like for anyone currently using AFP sharing protocol to be aware that Apple is phasing this out in favor of the SMB sharing protocol. If you are sharing files using AFP and wish to upgrade to High Sierra, you will need to convert those shares to the SMB protocol.

If your computer is upgraded to macOS High Sierra and exhibits performance issues which inhibit its use, please bring it to the Service Desk for a reload of the original operating system as shipped from Apple.
